The Remorse of the Sugar Junkie
May 15th, 2006*I know it has been a while since I posted! This was a partial post I wrote a few weeks ago which I figured I will put up now*
Gosh! Time flies when you forget to post. Last post was Thursday and it’s already Wenesday. I figure I will split this update into two posts as I was going to update on Monday but didn’t. First, a recap of the Last Week.
Thursday
Mood Meter: 6
Part of my Thursday description can be found in ‘Good Moooooorning Ichigoo!’ I woke up feeling anxious - probably because of the break in routine going to the councillor and all, but overall I was feeling pretty good. My councillor appointment was extremely short. Because I was explaining my concern over the side effects of the medication I was on, blurry vision etc, the councillor decided it was probably best if I saw the Psychiatrist that was visiting from Sydney the following day. Problem was, he was booked out, so I would need to be squeezed in at the very end of the day. I thought it was a good idea, so we finished up early, scheduling me in for 4:30 on the Friday. This was great! I got home heaps early so I got to spend more time with EastonRoyce!
Friday
Mood Meter: 3
I have no idea what happened on Friday. I woke up feeling anxious about my appointment, and for some reason, I was feeling totally depressed. Completely miserable. It was a horrible day, I was feeling sad and teary for no particular reason that I could think of. The work day was horrible as per usual, but nothing out of the ordinary. I guess the one thing that did annoy me was a comment about ringing the computer guys in Sydney to find out if they knew how to fix the VNC and RDP problem we were having with a computer at one of our branches.
The appointment with the psychiatrist was terrible. I had not seen that guy before, but I really didn’t like him. He kept interrupting me so I couldn’t properly explain what was wrong. He kept joking about the problems I was having, and generally made me feel really bad. By the end of the appointment I was feeling completely terrible, and I was depressed for the entire evening on Friday. Mum and Dad were both away, so I had to organise dinner, which I think improved my mood a little. But overall Friday was a horrible day.
Saturday
Mood Rating: 7
Saturday turned out to be a pretty good day. I woke up feeling pretty good considering my horrible day on Friday, and was actually kind of excited about going to Tamworth shopping. The day was unexpectedly cool, so I ended up wearing jeans, a purple three-quarter length sleeve top and a jacket. I decided to try something different, and wore my hair in two low pigtails with my cute little brown cap (same colour as my light-brown jacket) and colorado shoes (same colour as hat and jacket). Overall I thought it was a cute outfit, and most of all, I was warm!
EastonRoyce drove the whole way to and from Tamworth with the exception of the 2 minute drive to the petrol station before departing. I think we ended up leaving about 9:30, and we had a good run over to Tamworth. We went straight to KMart when we arrived. Neither of us looking for anything particular. I was half thinking that if I saw any X Files DVD box sets I might buy one, but we didn’t see any all day! KMart was followed by lunch (I was starving). Instead of our normal routine of hotdogs and lattes, we had chicken schnitzel burgers which were in no way healthy with butter, mayonaise and melted cheese. We then wandered down to EB Games, only to discover the normal overly enthusiastic dude wasn’t there. For once, we were really disappointed and were unable to find anything to spend our money on. There was no manga, and almost no anime. There was three games I wanted, but they were well over $80 each and I wasn’t going to spend that much money on a game I probably wouldn’t end up playing. Even EastonRoyce wasn’t able to find any cheap discount games he normally likes to buy.
Next we headed to Target which proved to be more promising. Target had a lot more anime, though nothing that I felt particularly inclined to buy. I did end up buying two DVDs though: The Dark Crystal - a movie I’ve been wanting to see ever since I saw the trailer on the start of a Fraggle Rock video I borrowed out when I was little, and Corpse Bride - which is just an awesome movie ^_^
For once we actually got to Tamworth earlier than normal, so we figured we had time to head over to Harvey Norman for a look at stereos (normally we get over there just after they close). So off we went. We turned into the wrong street so we ended up going to Retravision first, which turned out to be a fun stop. They have excellent little home theatre displays so we watched the end of The Lion King II: Simbas’ Pride and the middle of the first Lion King movie, sitting in comfy chairs while pretending to be interested in speakers. We had a look at the Hi Fi systems as I am in the market for buying a new stereo, which is proving to be difficult. No stereo system fulfills the requirement of ‘cute.’ They are all huge ugly looking things that are not very appealing me. We left Retravision and headed to Harvey Norman, where, during our visit, had no less than 6 people ask us if we needed assistance. There were more people with Harvey Norman shirts than customers! We looked at games, stereo systems and the home theatre display (which wasn’t as impressive as Retravisions), then headed back over to the KMart plaza so I could have the caramel latte and donuts I was craving so much!
Afternoon tea was followed by a visit to Big W where I bought some hair accessories. I was looking for little flower hair-pins like the ones Orihime wears in bleach! I bought two pairs - one purple and one blue which were both different. I also got a comb and some hair clasp things. Poor EastonRoyce was determine to buy Lemmings for his PSP, and was sure he would be able to get it at Big W, and it wasn’t there! He regretted not buying it earlier on when we saw it in KMart. We both expected it to be at Big W. After a lot of thought, I ended up buying a PS2 game - Dragon Quest VIII which I read about in Newtype. It was such a cool looking game! EastonRoyce was seriously considering buying a Nintendo DS as we both thought that it had a built-in organiser. We were both wrong it seems, so after playing around with the display machine for a while, he eventually declared he would think about it so we could find out some more info about it on the net. After that we made our way back home to microwave dinners!
