The Remorse of the Sugar Junkie

May 15th, 2006

*I know it has been a while since I posted! This was a partial post I wrote a few weeks ago which I figured I will put up now*

Gosh! Time flies when you forget to post. Last post was Thursday and it’s already Wenesday. I figure I will split this update into two posts as I was going to update on Monday but didn’t. First, a recap of the Last Week.

Thursday

Mood Meter: 6
Part of my Thursday description can be found in ‘Good Moooooorning Ichigoo!’ I woke up feeling anxious - probably because of the break in routine going to the councillor and all, but overall I was feeling pretty good. My councillor appointment was extremely short. Because I was explaining my concern over the side effects of the medication I was on, blurry vision etc, the councillor decided it was probably best if I saw the Psychiatrist that was visiting from Sydney the following day. Problem was, he was booked out, so I would need to be squeezed in at the very end of the day. I thought it was a good idea, so we finished up early, scheduling me in for 4:30 on the Friday. This was great! I got home heaps early so I got to spend more time with EastonRoyce!

Friday

Mood Meter: 3

I have no idea what happened on Friday. I woke up feeling anxious about my appointment, and for some reason, I was feeling totally depressed. Completely miserable. It was a horrible day, I was feeling sad and teary for no particular reason that I could think of. The work day was horrible as per usual, but nothing out of the ordinary. I guess the one thing that did annoy me was a comment about ringing the computer guys in Sydney to find out if they knew how to fix the VNC and RDP problem we were having with a computer at one of our branches.

The appointment with the psychiatrist was terrible. I had not seen that guy before, but I really didn’t like him. He kept interrupting me so I couldn’t properly explain what was wrong. He kept joking about the problems I was having, and generally made me feel really bad. By the end of the appointment I was feeling completely terrible, and I was depressed for the entire evening on Friday. Mum and Dad were both away, so I had to organise dinner, which I think improved my mood a little. But overall Friday was a horrible day.

Saturday

Mood Rating: 7

Saturday turned out to be a pretty good day. I woke up feeling pretty good considering my horrible day on Friday, and was actually kind of excited about going to Tamworth shopping. The day was unexpectedly cool, so I ended up wearing jeans, a purple three-quarter length sleeve top and a jacket. I decided to try something different, and wore my hair in two low pigtails with my cute little brown cap (same colour as my light-brown jacket) and colorado shoes (same colour as hat and jacket). Overall I thought it was a cute outfit, and most of all, I was warm!

EastonRoyce drove the whole way to and from Tamworth with the exception of the 2 minute drive to the petrol station before departing. I think we ended up leaving about 9:30, and we had a good run over to Tamworth. We went straight to KMart when we arrived. Neither of us looking for anything particular. I was half thinking that if I saw any X Files DVD box sets I might buy one, but we didn’t see any all day! KMart was followed by lunch (I was starving). Instead of our normal routine of hotdogs and lattes, we had chicken schnitzel burgers which were in no way healthy with butter, mayonaise and melted cheese. We then wandered down to EB Games, only to discover the normal overly enthusiastic dude wasn’t there. For once, we were really disappointed and were unable to find anything to spend our money on. There was no manga, and almost no anime. There was three games I wanted, but they were well over $80 each and I wasn’t going to spend that much money on a game I probably wouldn’t end up playing. Even EastonRoyce wasn’t able to find any cheap discount games he normally likes to buy.

Next we headed to Target which proved to be more promising. Target had a lot more anime, though nothing that I felt particularly inclined to buy. I did end up buying two DVDs though: The Dark Crystal - a movie I’ve been wanting to see ever since I saw the trailer on the start of a Fraggle Rock video I borrowed out when I was little, and Corpse Bride - which is just an awesome movie ^_^

For once we actually got to Tamworth earlier than normal, so we figured we had time to head over to Harvey Norman for a look at stereos (normally we get over there just after they close). So off we went. We turned into the wrong street so we ended up going to Retravision first, which turned out to be a fun stop. They have excellent little home theatre displays so we watched the end of The Lion King II: Simbas’ Pride and the middle of the first Lion King movie, sitting in comfy chairs while pretending to be interested in speakers. We had a look at the Hi Fi systems as I am in the market for buying a new stereo, which is proving to be difficult. No stereo system fulfills the requirement of ‘cute.’ They are all huge ugly looking things that are not very appealing me. We left Retravision and headed to Harvey Norman, where, during our visit, had no less than 6 people ask us if we needed assistance. There were more people with Harvey Norman shirts than customers! We looked at games, stereo systems and the home theatre display (which wasn’t as impressive as Retravisions), then headed back over to the KMart plaza so I could have the caramel latte and donuts I was craving so much!

Afternoon tea was followed by a visit to Big W where I bought some hair accessories. I was looking for little flower hair-pins like the ones Orihime wears in bleach! I bought two pairs - one purple and one blue which were both different. I also got a comb and some hair clasp things. Poor EastonRoyce was determine to buy Lemmings for his PSP, and was sure he would be able to get it at Big W, and it wasn’t there! He regretted not buying it earlier on when we saw it in KMart. We both expected it to be at Big W. After a lot of thought, I ended up buying a PS2 game - Dragon Quest VIII which I read about in Newtype. It was such a cool looking game! EastonRoyce was seriously considering buying a Nintendo DS as we both thought that it had a built-in organiser. We were both wrong it seems, so after playing around with the display machine for a while, he eventually declared he would think about it so we could find out some more info about it on the net. After that we made our way back home to microwave dinners!

Gooood Moooooooorning Ichigoooooooooo! ~ ♥

April 20th, 2006

Finally! A more general post. Actually, no. I will need to get some boring stuff out of the way first. I was going to skip doing my daily description and just throw in my daily mood meter, but EastonRoyce said that was cheating!! He said I had to write a justification for my mood for the day *sigh.* So here it is:

Tuesday

Mood Rating: 5

I was at work. What can I say? Not a good day. I spent the whole day counting down the seconds til hometime (to see EastonRoyce!). Overall the day went pretty quick though.

Wednesday

Mood Rating: 4

Yesterday sucked. Work yet again. This time the clock moved ever so much more slowly and the day just dragged on. Not to mention I brought a hot lunch (leftovers from dinner), and what do you know? It turned out to be an unexpectedly hot day outside and I could have melted. I met the guy I normally see in the park (I really was not in the mood for talking to him). More FFX talk. I still have no idea what he is going on about. He keeps talking about ‘double 9’s.’ I wonder if that is HP damage he is doing to monsters? If thats the case he can’t be too far into the game… I spent the rest of the day at work browsing the internet and reading fanfiction (for shame… -_-). Finally hometime came around and I went home to have a coffee and the yummiest white chocolate easter egg ever with EastonRoyce! Followed by walk, shower and me cooking dinner *shock horror!* Finally, at the end EastonRoyce and I managed to find some time to watch a few episodes of Bleach together which was nice.

OK!!! Boring stuff out of the way. Yay! Time for more general things. My CDs I ordered from amazon.com arrived on Tuesday. I was so excited! I currently have Asian Kung Fu Generation - Sol-fa playing in my car. I think it is the type of album that will take some time to grow on me… at the moment all the songs kinda sound the same. But I am sure I will like it after I hear it a few times. I haven’t listened to L’Arc en Ciel - Awake yet. Hopefully in the next few days.

EastonRoyce and I are planning a day trip over to Tamworth shopping on the weekend. This is a kind of ‘tradition’ thing for us. Everytime EastonRoyce comes to visit, we drive over to Tamworth, buy a bunch of UMD movies, spend forever in EB Games just before closing time with the overly enthusiastic guy in the store trying to sell us everything, and have a caramel latte, hotdog and donuts for lunch (mmmm!). Such fun fun! Too bad its such a long drive over there. Lucky, EastonRoyce is really keen to get as much driving experience as he can, so he can do the honours again this time - I don’t think my blurry vision will be able to handle such a long trip.

This time around, we are both thinking of purchasing some new speakers. I was keen for the logitech ‘wireless’ speakers (which only have wireless rear speakers, much to my disappointment), though now I’m kinda wondering whether I would prefer to get a new stereo system. When it comes down to it, I really don’t have room in my bedroom for anything - however, my computer speakers are starting to get pretty shoddy and I guess they really should be replaced sometime. *sigh.* I must also make a note before we head off shopping of all the anime and manga volumes I am up to so I can figure out which ones I still need to get - it is too frustrating straining my brain to remember them all ^_^;

Yay! Today is a councilling day! I will have to leave work early (3:30) to be back in Narrabri for my 4pm appointment. Which also means - I get home early! Yay! Also means more time with EastonRoyce. I’m in charge of dinner again tonight. I can’t complain though. One of the conditions of me having EastonRoyce come visit was that I made an effort to help out around the house more - especially dinner, as my mum is so not fond of organising meals (hence all the take-away we eat). For someone who complains about all the left-overs we have in the fridge, she sure has no problem wanting to buy more - we have tonnes of leftover cooked sausages from dinner, and she insists she will need to buy chops for eating tonight. Go figure o_0?

Today is a hungry day for me. I ate too much sugar yesterday and now I’m starving. My weight was also back up a little this morning, as I had two cooked meals yesterday instead of just one. Unfortunately, today will be more of the same. Leftovers for lunch today (though not too much) but instead I will have my salad for dinner which I guess is ok. No chocolate or desert for me today though. I can’t afford to eat it every day.

*cries* No new Bleach episodes for two whole weeks! Next episode is on the 2nd of May. That’s still ages away! Well, technically, I still haven’t watched episode 77 yet, so I can’t complain too much. And I am kinda re-watching the whole series at the moment with EastonRoyce, plus reading the manga volumes I have (I ordered volume 12 the other day and I should get that early next week). I am trying to decide whether I will wait to read the manga as it comes available to buy, or read ahead with the scanlations. Considering new volumes are only released every two months, and the english version is already so far behind, I think I will get impatient and just read ahead ^_^

I read this this morning and thought it was cute (It’s Ichigos dad btw):

“Yuzu! Wanna play “Day at the Beach” with me? We sit in a sunny room eating shaved ice with the airconditioner turned off. It’s a lot of fun!”

Happy Easter!

April 19th, 2006

I know its a little late, but Happy Easter! This is the longest I have been without posting, so I may do a quick recap of the last few days.

Friday (Good Friday)

Mood Rating: 8

Friday was a good day. For the first time since Christmas I actually went to church. It’s not that I don’t like church, I’m just scared of being around people. This particular day I went for two reasons: 1 being that Good Friday is a special occasion, 2 being that my parents were doing the service and Mum said it would mean a lot to her if I went. So off I went. I psyched myself up a week in advance, and organised an outfit to wear (my new chinese top, and black pants). Even managed to put my hair up and actually wore lipstick *shock!* I got millions of comments about how stunning I looked which made me feel good though I felt a little overdressed ^_^; The service was absolutely fantastic. My parents really put a lot of prayer, thought and time into their services and it really shows. They ran the service as though it was a funeral, complete with eulogy, words from ‘friends’ and music of reflection. All of the participants in the service wore black. The short story at the end was so touching that most of the congregation were in tears. It was fantastic - I was so proud! ^_^ The rest of the day was pretty uneventful I think - had some photos taken of me, then had coffee and hot cross buns for morning tea. Can’t remember the rest of the day though… Overall, a very good very relaxing day!

Migraines, Diets and Maccas on Uluru

April 13th, 2006

Daily Mood Rating (Wednesday): 3

Essentially yesterday wasn’t tooooo bad, considering I left work early to go home. I was feeling teary and miserable though, and guilty for leaving work with a bit of self-loathing mixed in there so I guess I will rate it a 3.

Seems things are starting to go downhill again in regards to my health. After I thought I had finally overcome all those headaches and stomach aches, I got struck with a migraine! Yesterday I left for work with an instant headache after taking my tablets, only to be forced to leave at 10:30 as a result of a nasty headache and blurred vision. Needless to say, I went straight home to bed, where I stayed until about 6:30. I didn’t do a great deal of ’sleeping’ as such - just resting and dozing (not much else you can do with a migraine). I have taken so many pain killers the last few weeks, that Panadol is no longer working for me. So I am now onto Nurofen (courtesy of a trip to the Chemist by mum on my behalf). The Chemist was concerned about the amount of headaches I’ve been getting, and insisted that if they don’t clear up next week, I need to go back to the doctor.

Bored, bored, bored

April 11th, 2006

Daily Mood Rating: 4

Really, I wasn’t even going to make a post today - I am so bored and unmotivated so it’s not like there is anything to write about, but I figured I probably should anyway considering I didn’t post at all yesterday. Plus, from this point on, I will start a daily mood rating system (a recommendation of my Councillor). From now, my daily rating will be on a scale of 1 to 10:

1 being absolutely rotten, kill me now
10 being absolutely perfect - on top of the world!

So far, today is leaning towards the ‘1′ end of the scale.

If I can be bothered, I might even see if I can find one of those star-rating plugins and try and get it to work, but hey, right now, I can’t be bothered.

As you may see, I tried out the ‘Split Post with More tag’ option in my blog. Doesn’t work too good - it opens the post in the same window, but all by itself with no back button (btw, the Chrnocat heading at the top returns to the blog main page). In my opinion, this is crappy. Eastonroyce has a much nicer system going on his site where it just expands out the text with a ‘Read More’ or ‘Hide’ option. *sigh* wish mine did that. Yet another thing I will one day try and fix.

There and Back Again

April 9th, 2006

Phew! The last couple of days have been pretty hectic, what with my express trip to Coffs Harbour and all. I’m glad to be able to sit down and relax for a little while! Here is a quick recount of the last few days…

Friday

The trip to Coffs Harbour turned out to be pretty good! Friday morning Mum, Dad, my brother and I all got up early for an intended 6am departure from home. Of course, we left late as usual and I think we were heading off just before 7. I was sick! Had terrible stomach ache all morning which was horrible, and my brother was nervous as anything about his upcoming graduation so he had barely eaten for the last few days. The trip wasn’t too bad cept for an extended stop in Tamworth for Dad to visit someplace for work and a quick stop at McDonalds (I ate nothing!!). Mum of course had brought a tonne of lollies along - mixed lollies, Fantales and I think snakes… She must’ve had a million fantales - she was eating and eating them the whole trip. I refused all lollies all day! My self control was outstanding! We had a short stop in Armidale at the servo then had an uninterrupted trip to Coffs - the winding roads being the worst part of the trip. I loaned my brother my mp3 player so he could listen to the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory audio book while I attempted to watch Steamboy on my PSP. However, I got really car sick so had to lie down for the rest of the trip.

Headaches and Nekos

April 6th, 2006

Ah, another post. Didn’t get a chance to write one yesterday - I actually had some work to do!

Today is my last day of work for the week. Tomorrow I am heading over to Coffs Harbour for my brothers’ uni graduation. That will be one nasty trip - 6 hour drive over tomorrow and 6 hour drive back on Saturday (Mum and Dad need to be in Dubbo Sunday for a wedding!). It will be an early start tomorrow, but hopefully we will be there by lunchtime so i can spend some time catching up with EastonRoyce. It is hard living so far away from him, but he has holidays coming up soon, so hopefully he can come visit me for Easter!

I feel sick…

April 4th, 2006

Oh boy… today I feel terrible. Really, really unwell. I’ve been off my anti-depressant medication for 4 days now, and the resulting headache is unbearable. On top of that, I’ve been getting other side effects as well. I’m extremely tired even though I went to bed before 9:30. However, this essentially can also be the result of switching back to normal time from daylight savings time as my body tries to re-adjust.

Today I also feel all jittery and unbalanced. I feel all wobbly when I walk. I feel all teary as well. But the headache is the worst, and no matter how much panadol I take, I can’t get it to go away.

Eating the Weekend Away…

April 3rd, 2006

Monday is a terrible way to spend 1/7 of the week. *sigh* Today I’m recovering from a horrible weekend of overeating. I was in such an eating frenzy I was practically inhaling food. It all started out with the end of last week…

Wednesday

Mum got really, really sick with the flu, and decided to stay home. This of course lead to problems with dinner - Mum couldn’t cook, Dad was away, and my brother and I are too lazy to organise anything. So of course, take-away was suggested, in this case, KFC. Suddenly finding my own self-control I flatly refused KFC and had a microwave dinner instead (even though my brother took the take-away option).

Happy April Fools Day!

April 1st, 2006

Yes, it’s April Fools day again - and exactly one year since I discovered the fabulous Think Geek site! They always have the best April fools products. Check them out at http://www.thinkgeek.com I don’t think this years are as funny as last years though…

Blizzard Entertainment are in on the jokes too. Unfortunately I’m not a World of Warcraft player - but they are still pretty funny!

BurgerCraft - “BurgerCraft will also offer several unique and exciting group discounts and special deals, including: The Molten Core Combo (40-person group special events discount)”

WoW Expansion: The Burning Crusade - “Customize a wisp through a wide variet of colors, and facial hair. There are literally billions of combinations possible!”

I’m tired, so I’ll post the images later…
